Before we met…

Chris had just been told that his hosting company was closing its doors and he would have to find another hosting solution and a new web design.

What we realized …

When we met, Chris and I had a good conversation about what he was doing with his work, as Chair of the University of Redlands Theatre Department and the side gig he was doing, coaching presentation skills to GIS specialists, scientists, and technology experts. When he retired in a few years, he wanted this site to generate clients into his retirement. We realized that he needed something simple and straightforward that told clients about his experience and background, listed clients and testimonials, and gave folks a way to reach him.

And now, the WOW…

The site is a beautiful, sophisticated portfolio of work and self for a wonderful actor, director, teacher and coach. We pulled the design elements we had created three years previously, updated them and installed them on a one-page custom theme with anchor navigation (it scrolls down to the chosen section) and a sticky header so that it’s always possible to navigate, regardless of what you’re reading.

We checked all the boxes: clients, testimonials, biography, experience, contact form and contact information!

After 10 years of easy affordable service my previous website provider notified me on a Monday that by the end of the week they would close business. After a few days of panic, I reached out to Wendy Hunt at Plum Nelly Creative and within the month I had a much better website. Wendy was a calm, capable and reassuring voice throughout the entire process. • Each step of the way working with Wendy asked helpful questions about my goals for the project both in design concept and functionality which helped me imagine new ways my website can serve me better. Also, Wendy was calm, patient and resourceful. Her professionalism was reassuring and the combination of her technical expertise and her artistic skills were well balanced and effective.

Wendy Hunt is an artist, illustrator, free-range thinker, musician, and writer living in the Mojave Desert. She loves the playful element of designing and developing brands, websites, and marketing goodies. Wendy has always loved maps and speculates that we can visually map our interior landscape the same way we map our physical world.
