Even coaches need coaches. You probably already know that but it’s a thing. Just like therapists need therapists. Because we’re all human. None of us is the yogi on the mountain or the unflappable guru. We’ve got lives and reactions to life, families, businesses, emergencies and troubles.
Recently my coach told me that all thoughts tend towards the negative because our brains are early warning systems. And as I was looking into that, I came across a cute acronym I just couldn’t pass by. ANTS: automatic negative thoughts.
The antidote for this is meditating or take time for self, loving yourself and creating space between the circumstances and the reaction. There was no cute acronym for this so I made one up — OWL: observe with love. And, of course, I made a cute little drawing to help myself remember.

Running our own businesses is a difficult proposition and there are plenty of reasons to feel stressed and our thoughts will tend towards the negative. When we look at the people around us, at ourselves, our troubles or difficulties with love, it can lift us out of the ANTs.
